LeBron Raymone James Sr., born December 30, 1984 is an American professional player of the basket that plays for the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA) in the National Basketball Association. He is known as King James and is considered to be one of the most successful basketball players in history. James has taken home four NBA championships, four NBA MVP awards Four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James is an NBA All-Star and has more playoff points. the second highest career point total, and seventh-highest career assist total. James is a member of 18 NBA All-Stars as well as 18 All-NBA teams and five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. In total, he has been a part of 10 NBA Finals. This is the third highest number of times. Eight were consecutive between 2011-2018. James has been chosen to join the league's 75th Anniversary Team. He became the first NBA player to score 10,000 points, rebounds, and assist in 2022. James was a student at St. Vincent St. Mary High School in his hometown of Akron Ohio and was heavily in the news media as a future NBA star. James was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the top player in the NBA draft in 2003. After being named 2004 NBA Rookie of the year, he swiftly established himself as an elite player in the NBA with the MVP Award in 2009 and 2010. In the end, he failed to capture any championships with Cleveland James left in 2010 as a free agent to be a part of with the Miami Heat this was announced in a television program called The Decision and is among the most controversial free-agent choices throughout sports history.
